Managing Writer's Block with the Mind-Body Connection

  • Cambridge Naturals 92 Guest Street Brighton, MA, 02135 United States (map)

In this two hour workshop, participants will learn strategies that combat writer's block, support committing to a regular writing practice, and address general issues of self-doubt and other roadblocks that come up in the writing process. Participants will learn a style of breath work that primes the nervous system for creative work, a mechanism to “type” yourself as a writer that will help you understand what you need in regards to planning for writing projects, how to develop your intuition in the creative realm, and strategies based on meditative self inquiry that encourage the free flow of ideas while writing. This course will also encourage community building and offer a short time to respond to writing prompts.

Materials needed: Participants should bring a notebook and pen or a laptop/tablet to write with.

Materials provided: Participants will receive a handout that describes all techniques used in the workshop.

The class will be held at Cambridge Naturals - Boston Landing - in Brighton. All attendees receive a 15% off coupon to shop at the store!
