Intro to Herbalism: Kitchen Medicine and Herbal Preparations with Liz Krushnic

This beginner level class will introduce you to foundational herbal concepts including herbal preparations and how to work with pantry herbs for common ailments. We’ll cover teas, tinctures, oils and more, and discuss therapeutic uses for common pantry herbs such as ginger, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. You’ll come away with a list of common kitchen herbs and some of their therapeutic uses, an overview of common herbal preparations and herbal actions, and a recipe whose ingredients you can source from your pantry or the grocery store.

Cost: This class is offered at a sliding scale of $10-$20. Cambridge Naturals aims to offer valuable content at an accessible price, while also paying our instructors for their time. Please pay what you can.


Liz Krushnic (she/her) is a clinical herbalist and educator based in Boston. She trained at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in Plainfield, VT. Liz believes in herbalism as a means for people to have agency over their own health, and enjoys connecting people to plants and supporting people's health journeys. Unfortunately at this present moment, there is no exact address to type into your GPS to arrive to the garage. Just know that is is directly behind our store, and when you go into it, make sure it says 80-90 Guest st above the entrance.

***Parking validation is not available everyday, and only available on weekdays after 5:30pm, and all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bring your parking ticket to the store with you!
